Microchipping for all dogs became a legal requirement in the Uk 0n April 6th 2016, All dogs over 8 weeks must be microchipped and registered with their keeper's details on an approved database. By law breeders must have the litters microchipped and registered on a database by 8 weeks before being sold to their new keepers,
Microchipping for cats officially came into force June 10th 2024, Under new regulations, all owned ctas over 20 weeksold must be microchipped and registered on an approved database
